The Difficult Job of Schools Leaders

      Principals are more than twice as likely as other working adults (and even more likely than teachers) to report experiencing frequent job stress, according to a Rand Corporation survey. Principals and teachers are also more prone to burnout and face more challenges to feeling resilient than other workers.
      Overall, however, most teachers and principals say they're coping with their job-related stress and plan to stay in their current positions, according to the survey. Their top workplace desires are to be able to focus on core job responsibilities and build positive staff relationships.
